Community Corrections is often referred to as a “halfway house.” In Colorado these are typically occupied by ‘Diversion’ clients from Probation / judicial and ‘Transition’ clients from DOC. For DOC inmates the idea is to include graduated release through a systematic decrease in supervision and increase in offender responsibility.

Oklahoma City Community Corrections Center
The center was an all-male facility until 2000 when ODOC transferred its inmates to other community corrections centers, and the facility became the Mabel Bassett Minimum Unit for women. In 2003, the agency moved Mabel Bassett Correctional Center, including the minimum unit, to a former private prison in McLoud and OKCCCC was vacant.
